Archive fact: the 2024 event was the 86th edition of the annual tournament in Wijk aan Zee. Round 9 of its Masters section traveled to the AFAS Circustheater in The Hague as part of “Chess on Tour.”

The relay operators have filed this under board games temporarily becoming theater. A knight was issued a tiny laminated backstage pass. It has not returned it.
